Dorothy Halloween makeup help?!?!?

I'm being Dorothy from the wizard of oz for Halloween this year and was wondering what sort of makeup look I should go for. I was thinking something like the old Hollywood vintage look or a doll kind of look. I'd really like to wear false eyelashes but I have no idea how to apply them (if someone could find a video on how to do that that'd be very helpful)!

I usually hesitate with wearing blue eyeshadows because I have a very hispanic/south eastern European look (olive skin tone, brown eyes, dark brown hair).

If anyone knows of any videos (ie: youtube, google video, etc) that could show me how to do the makeup too that would be awesome!!!Dorothy Halloween makeup help?!?!?
old hollywood make up sounds great youtube probably has some videos you could find on there i would look them up for you but my computer doesnt like playing videos.i would say pink blush blue eyeshadows not completely nec. but would look cute. try putting the blue on the outter corners of your eyes and a light color like white on the inner corners and a little above the lid on the brow bone below your actual eyebrow. false eyelashes if you get the kind for halloween costumes they just stick on i have NO clue how to apply the kind with the glue it looks messy and hard to me i would stick to the stick ons.Dorothy Halloween makeup help?!?!?

That's a video on how to apply falsies; it's not too hard :) I was Dorothy last year and I wore a light golden eyeshadow(I have a complexion a little lighter than yours; it would look even better on you!), a berry-colored blush on the apples of my cheeks and a red lipstick with golden-orange undertones, and everyone thought I looked great! I won Best Makeup at my school costume contest, so you should look amazing if you try it. A light magenta with some clear gloss also looks good for lips! Hope I helped.
Looking like ';Dorothy Gale'; is quite easy. She does in fact have longer eyelashes than most. Also she has bright blue eyes. You may want to condiser fake contacts.

The link below is a like on how to professionally apply fake eyelashes.

And the link below this is a video on how to get the ';Dorothy makeup'; face your going for. Keep in mind you do not have to go this dark, and yes i know the women is frighting looking. But this is exactly how dorothy wears it. I would recomend the brands: Covergirl or (if your willing to spring the extra buck) sephora. I recomend these because they dont give you the red splothes most makeup brands give you when you go to remove them.

Hope i helped! Good luck.
instead fo blue eye shadow, i would try blue eyeliner, it will look very nice on your skin tone. you could use a light purple eye shadow it comes out just as nicely but not as loud as blue.

i would try this video its from Sephora

also if they forgot to mention this, put mascara on over the fake lashes. it makes them look less fake. also to give off a nice smoky effect on your eyes, lightly sprinkle from blue mascara on them, don't cover then it'll look fake.
I would go for a natural or innocent look.

I'd go with brown or brownish black lashes (either false or yours). There are instructions for false lashes on the box.

Earth tones for your eye shadow. (Light brown)

Rosy cheeks. Maybe add some freckles if you don't have any.

Understated lip. Pink or just some gloss.

Have fun!

Watch the movie if you need some more ideas.
If you have long eyelashes, or thick eyelashes, just load up on the mascara. Probably use brown. Put a little eyeliner on as well. Really, all you want is to look really dolled up. Put quite a bit of blush on and some red lipstick. Just whenever you get the chance, mess around with some different ideas to find something that works for you. Good luck and have fun!!!

Please help!!!!

Why not go for the natural look? I don't remember if Judy Garland was

overly made up when she played Dorothy in ';The Wizard of Oz.'; She

had a more down to earth look in the movie.

Good luck and have fun!
pink blush and red lip stick
idk
ok...
I suggest wearing bright red lipstick and if blue eyeshadow doesn't look right on you, you should wear maybe a neutral like brown. And about the false eyelashes, practice makes perfect or you can always go to a makeup artist at the mall for like $10 bucks to get them put on. The false eyelashes that you apply at home, all you have to do is put a little dab of the special glue on the tip of the eyelashes and rub it across and apply as close as you can to the eyelashes. Plus another tip is if you curl them or your real eyelashes, curl them before applying mascara or some of the lashes will come off. Plus if you go to Cosmo (the magazines) website, I believe that's were I saw a video. But, if not I would go to utube.com and search applying false eyelashes!!! Well...good luck and have fun =)
go with ostume 'Mcclain
