If you have very oily skin, you will find it much more effective to use a number of different products in combination, rather than just relying on powder. If you've tried using a powder foundation already, then it's unlikely that a powder over a liquid is going to offer you better shine control. Try a combination of the folloiwng:

- A mattifying primer or oil control lotion. Use these over a non-greasy moisturiser to make sure your skin isn't too oily before you apply your makeup. Try Clinique Pore Minimiser, L'Oreal Studio Mattifying Primer, or MAC Prep %26amp; Prime 'Refined Zone'. If you live in the UK, Boots make a BRILLIANT anti-shine product called Expert Instant Matte.

- Stick with the powder foundation. You'll find that these absob oil and stay in place much more effectively than a liquid or cream. Ditch the Shiseido, and try MAC StudioFix powder, Clinique Double Wear, or Chanel Mat Lumiere.

- A very absorbent face powder. Choose one that is very sheer so that it doesn't get cakey on the skin. MAC's Blot powder is great (much more effective than Mineralize Skinfinish at absorbing oil).

- Oil blotting sheets. These are your best friend! Use these to blot whenever you start to feel oily. The plastic-type ones are the most effective (such as the blue Clean %26amp; Clear ones) but paper ones are OK too (such as The Body Shop blotting papers). The best thing is, you won't need to powder as much to absorb oil, which means you don't have to layer too much makeup on.

Some people do just have extremely oily skin, so if the above suggestions aren't working, you should talk to your doctor or dermatologist about some more effective ways of reducing oil production. Contraceptive pills, retinoid treatments, etc. are all affordable and effective treatments for oily skin. So don't be shy if you're finding the problem is too difficult to control with skincare and makeup.OILY face, makeup HELP!!?!?
i dunno if you already do this or not, but since u didnt mention it i'm bringing it up. Before u put your makeup on you need to put on an oil free moisturizer, and after that gets into your skin wait just a couple minutes and apply a good matte foundation primer. A great and inexpensive one to try is the Monistat Chaffing Gel which u can get from walgreens, walmart, cvs, any place like that. The chaffing gel is about 6-7 bucks, as opposed to some higher end brands like smashbox's primer at 30 something bucks. After your makeup is applied, the Mineralize skinfinish will just help SET your makeup and keep it in place; it's not ganna keep your face completely matte all day, however, the chaffing gel %26amp; the skin finish both will help TONS in limiting the oiliness.
powder makeup soaks up the oil on your face. when your face becomes oily later in the day its because it has absorbed as much oil as it possibly can. there isn't a spray or powder that doesn't do this. i recommend clean %26amp; clear oil absorbent sheets. they're really cheap, you can get them anywhere, and all you have to do is press them onto your face. best of all, the makeup stays on! its brilliant.
First and foremost, I'm an oily skin sufferer as well but they say we will be blessed when we are older (wrinkle free or less wrinkles) You need a good skincare regimen that consists of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. I use the Murad line for acne and it has been great for me. Second, As a primer Lancome has a great mattifying gel called Pure Focus and it has been the best I've used. Make sure both the makeup and powder is oil free and you should be good. I just got a recommendation that Revlon's Color Stay is good so give that a try if you want.
I have oily skin too. Make up primer seems to help with my trouble areas. I apply it before my make up. I use a primer from

Avon and it's great. I also use a sheer tinted moisturizer from Aveeno. when I'm at work or out and about, I go to the restroom and use the toilet seat covers. The paper is great for removing oil residue. I wash my face with Aveeno clear complexion face wash and it helps too.
ok so check ur make-up and make sure its oil-free.

this happened to me.

i got a pressed powder as well that was non-comegedic(wont clog pores) . and i use a moistureized and a primer to help everythin keep in place it wors wonder. smashbox.
try using these once every few hours they really work. and keep using the powder
